Sharjah24: "Team 'Vietnam 1' led by the Swedish Jonas Andersson was crowned the champion of the 2024 Sharjah Grand Prix in its 23rd edition, held on Sunday, marking the culmination of the Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship season.
The 'Victory 4' team, representing the Dubai International Marine Sports Club and led by the Swedish racer Erik Stark, finished the race in second place behind the 'Vietnam 1' team. Following them was the 'Sharjah 17' boat led by the Canadian Rusty White, securing third place.
In the overall standings, after 'Vietnam 1' claimed the top spot and secured its third consecutive world championship title with 129 points, 'Sharjah 17' took second place with 108 points, and 'Victory 4' finished third with 102.5 points.
In the race for the fastest time, the 'Victory 4' boat secured second place in the overall standings with 74 points, trailing the leader Jonas Andersson who amassed 91 points
