Sharjah24: At the Sharjah Kalba International Show Jumping Championship, a three-star event that is part of the sixth Sharjah Kalba Equestrian Festival, Humaid Abdullah Al Muhairi, riding "Fonsty VD Heffinck," won the Longines Grand Prix title. The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) supervised ten competitions during the festival, which took place from 5–8 December along Kalba Beach.
Prominent officials attended the awards ceremony, which Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi oversaw. Sheikh Abdullah praised the event’s enhanced international standing and announced plans for an expanded festival next year, including show jumping, dressage, and Arabian horse beauty contests.

The 150-cm jump-off course at the Longines Grand Prix was a first for Kalba Beach. Al Muhairi clinched the title with a flawless jump-off in 38.53 seconds. American rider Maggie Hill and Belgian rider Constant van Paesschen secured second and third places, respectively.

Other standout performances included Mohammed Hamad Al Kirbi's win in a 135 cm two-phase event and Katie Spiller of Britain triumphing in a 140 cm two-phase competition. The final day also saw two young Emirati brothers, Ali and Saleh Al Kirbi, claim first and second places in a 120-cm event, marking a memorable close to the championship.
