Sharjah 24: Sharjah secured a commanding 97-80 victory over Shabab Al Ahli in the UAE National Basketball League, marking their fourth win out of five matches in the current season. The match, held Friday at the Sharjah Sports Club Hall, saw Sharjah come close to the 100-point mark in an impressive performance.
The game was attended by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; His Excellency Khalid Issa Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club; His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Al Hossan, Member of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Club and Head of the Group Games Department; along with members of the UAE Basketball Association and passionate basketball fans.
With this victory, Sharjah moved into second place in the league standings, accumulating 9 points from wins over Al Jazira, Al Bataeh, Al Wasl, and Shabab Al Ahli. Their only loss came in the fourth round, away to Al Nasr, before a 37-day suspension of the competition due to the national team’s participation in the Asian qualifiers for the 2025 Asian Cup.
