Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Falconers Club, in collaboration with the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre and under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council, has kicked off the 2024 Al-Talwah Championship. The competition sees wide participation from both professional and amateur falconers across the UAE.
His Excellency Mohammed Khalifa Al-Badawi, Chairman of the Sharjah Falconers Club, emphasised that the event highlights falconry as a key part of Emirati culture and heritage.
Al-Badawi also noted that the timing of the championship, coinciding with the UAE's 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations, adds a special national touch, fostering a connection between young generations and this important aspect of Emirati identity.
