Sharjah24: The Friends of Arthritis Patients (FAP) of the Health Promotion Department (HPD) at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, organised the "Rheumatic Challenge" event in collaboration with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA). The event featured activities designed for arthritis patients, including tours to iconic Sharjah landmarks such as the Rain Room and Heart of Sharjah (Shanasiyah and Saqr Markets), culminating in a dinner gathering.
This remarkable occasion highlights the essential importance of National Service, which has emerged as a fundamental element in cultivating national pride, loyalty, and resilience over the last ten years. This showcases the UAE's dedication to developing a strong awakened generation ready to tackle upcoming challenges.
Her Excellency Wahida Abdulaziz, Chairperson of Arthritis Patients Society, welcomed attendees and highlighted the Society's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those living with arthritis. She emphasised the significance of psychological support in conjunction with medical treatment and pointed out how these events contribute to raising community awareness regarding arthritis prevention and management.
Her Excellency Wahida Abdulaziz, Chairperson of Arthritis Patients Society's initiatives are guided by the vision and directives of H Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. She noted that since the beginning of the year, the Society has successfully launched numerous programs addressing chronic diseases, particularly arthritis. Her Excellency also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Axios International, and other partners and sponsors for their unwavering support in ensuring the success of these initiatives.
