Sharjah24: Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) , in collaboration with the Family Development Department and its branches, organised a specialized training programme titled "Challenges of the Teen Student." This program targeted social workers, psychologists, and supervisors in private schools, aiming to equip professionals with the skills and tools necessary to understand the challenges faced by students during adolescence and to enhance their ability to address these challenges effectively.
The programme included training sessions and interactive workshops covering several significant topics, including understanding the psychological and social needs of teens, strategies for managing difficult behaviors, and enhancing effective communication with students. The programme also focused on the role of schools in providing the necessary psychological and social support for teenagers and methods for preventing the challenges and risks they may encounter.
A group of experts in mental and social health participated in delivering the programme, providing scientific insights and practical tools to help professionals improve their interactions with students and support the creation of an inclusive and supportive educational environment that meets their diverse needs. The Child Protection and Welfare Office at the Sharjah Private Education Authority confirmed that the programme is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the well-being of children and adolescents and to develop the competencies of educational sector workers in line with student needs, contributing to an improved educational experience.
