The lectures are part of the Foundation's keenness to raise religious awareness, promote authentic Islamic values, and activate the concept of faith, from Tuesday, until Thursday, November 28.
The programme saw on Tuesday, the first episodes of deep scientific discussions on a variety of contemporary issues that revolve around the reality of faith. This series aims to activate the concepts of faith and link it to charity, and to clarify their impact on the individual's actions, and to highlight the practical aspects of reaching the reality of faith in this era.
Bin Omar Al Jumaili, Professor of Principles of Jurisprudence at the University of Sharjah, clarified the importance of faith that illuminates the life of a Muslim and gives it purpose and balance. It is an adornment that does not lose its luster, and strength to face the challenges of contemporary life, and with it the Muslim becomes stronger despite all circumstances.
Dr Al Jumaili said that faith in the life of a Muslim is the foundation on which his life is straightened. It is the true adornment that gives the heart light, the soul tranquility, and the mind balance. It fills the heart with confidence and contentment, and is a source for the believer to adhere to moral values of honesty, trustworthiness, justice, and humility, based on his belief that God is watching him in secret and in public.
His Excellency Dr Majid Bushlaibi, Secretary-General, expressed that this cultural series are part of the Islamic Forum’s keenness to support cultural and religious activities in the Eastern Region, and to provide a stimulating environment for learning and development in all matters of Islamic culture in the emirate, as the emirate seeks to be a radiant centrefor thought and culture in the region.
Dr. Bushlaibi added that this cultural project targets a wide range of segments of society, from young people to the elderly, and provides an ideal platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge between researchers and those interested in the truth and importance of faith in the contemporary era.
The series includes a variety of activities and seeks to promote authentic Islamic values and build a generation aware of its religion and history.
The forum calls on society, during this series to reconcile science and religion, to recognise the impact of technology on society, and ethical issues.
The event received a great response from the audience, and participants expressed their thanks and appreciation for this valuable initiative that contributes to spreading religious awareness and national identity, strengthening social ties, deepening religious belonging, and building a more cohesive and tolerant society.
