Sharjah24: The much-anticipated Tanweer Festival proudly opened its doors to the public on its inaugural day, showcasing an impressive collection of ten permanent outdoor artworks strategically placed throughout the stunning landscape of Mleiha. Dr. Nina Heydemann, the Art Manager of Tanweer Festival, elaborated on the significance of these installations, which artfully embody a multitude of themes, including the rich geological layers, the fascinating archaeological history, and the breathtaking natural heritage of the region.
The festival was set to pay homage to the timeless poetry of the illustrious 12th-century poet, Jalal al-Din Al Rumi.

Dr. Heydemann shared her insights with “Sharjah 24,” revealing that the festival will unfold from November 22 to 24, offering a wide-ranging mix of activities designed to captivate and inspire. Festival-goers can look forward to an exhilarating lineup that features concerts and music performances, alongside engaging workshops and educational events.

Attendees will not only have the chance to appreciate the artworks up close but will also be invited to immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of cultural experiences, engaging with a variety of artistic perspectives across diverse genres throughout the duration of the festival.
