Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club held, on Thursday, an awareness lecture entitled "The Child is a Right and a Responsibility", at the club's theatre, for its technical and administrative staff, players, employees.
The lecture was in the presence of the players' parents, presented by expert Moza Al Shoumi, in light of its emphasis on the importance of the child.
The lecture was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Al Mutawa Al Hindasi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club; His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Rashid Al Taraban Al Hamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba AlHisn Football Club, and members of the Board of Directors.
The lecture saw a wide attendance of parents, who showed acceptable interaction with the topics raised, and ideas about the challenges facing the family in raising children, and practical solutions to support the role of the family and society in protecting the rights of the child.
The lecture highlighted the Child Protection Law "Wadeema", issued in the United Arab Emirates to protect and preserve children, and discussed how to deal and talk to children calmly, give child trainees some freedom in their own matters, train them to bear responsibility, and the necessity of dealing with the child gently through patience and dialogue.
The lecture pointed out the rights of the child and the importance of positive upbringing and creating a safe environment for children where they grow and develop in a healthy way.
In conclusion, His Excellency Dr. Al Mutawa thanked the expert Al Shoumi for her useful lecture and stressed that the club will spare no effort in providing more events and workshops that aim to raise awareness among players and children, and support the building of an attractive community that secures their rights.
Dr. Al Mutawa concluded his speech by thanking the attendees for their interaction and collective participation, stressing that such meetings come step by step towards achieving comprehensive development with the efforts made, hoping that we will achieve in holding more events that care about humanitarian and social issues and benefit everyone.
