Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Training and Development Centre (STDC), operating under the umbrella of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held talks with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to explore avenues for collaboration on joint training programmes.
The discussions focused on technical and administrative training initiatives aimed at preparing business leaders with skills aligned to international trade and global business practices.
Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant General Director, Support Services Sector at SCCI received the South Korean delegation led by Kenneth Jangjae Park, Director, International Relations at KCCI. The meeting was also attended by Amal Abdullah Al Ali, STDC Director, along with officials from both sides.
The discussions explored opportunities to expand cooperation in vocational training and leadership development, with a focus on equipping professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the global business environment. Both parties emphasised the importance of organising joint programs to support entrepreneurs, aiming to enhance their skills and increase their success in international markets.
During the meeting, the Sharjah Chamber showcased its innovative training initiatives, highlighting the Strategic Business Leadership Programme as a key example of its efforts to develop human capital and foster future business leaders.
Welcoming the South Korean delegation, Maryam Saif Al Shamsi stated that Sharjah and Seoul share strong ties, expressing hopes that the visit would strengthen communication and collaboration between the two chambers, particularly in the areas of training and professional development.
Al Shamsi reaffirmed the importance of leveraging the expertise and capabilities of both sides to enhance the quality of training programs. She highlighted the need to implement best practices in human resource development, organise joint training initiatives, and offer specialised courses aimed at fostering business growth and equipping the labour market with skilled professionals capable of meeting the demands of economic expansion.
For her part, Amal Abdullah Al Ali stressed that the meeting has provided an ideal platform for deepening bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to develop training programmes that address global market needs and improve the efficiency of human resources in line with international standards.
Al Ali reaffirmed STDC's commitment to forging international partnerships with chambers of commerce and global training institutions. These collaborations, she explained, aim to deliver advanced training programs that elevate professional performance, enhance human resource development, and promote a culture of institutional quality.
