Sharjah24: Saeed Mohammed Tamrouq, a national archery team player and member of Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, arrived home last night via Sharjah International Airport after successfully concluding his participation in the West Asian Championship held in Saudi Arabia.
Tamrouq achieved a remarkable sporting milestone by winning the gold medal in the team event, showcasing his exceptional skills in archery and continuing to add new pages of pride and achievement to the sport in the UAE.
This gold medal represents a significant step forward in the ongoing development of archery in the UAE and contributes to enhancing the country's reputation on the regional and international sports stages.
Upon his arrival at the airport, Tamrouq was warmly welcomed by Abdullah Saeed Al-Watari Al-Zuhouri, Chairman of the Individual Sports Committee, and Hassan Sbehan Al-Tunaji, Supervisor of Individual Sports at Dibba Al-Hisn Club, along with his coach, Captain Essam Ahmed Nashet.
The airport was filled with joy as they celebrated this victory, with Tamrouq receiving a warm welcome and bouquets of flowers in congratulations for this significant achievement alongside his teammates.
In a statement following his arrival, Saeed Tamrouq expressed his great happiness with the commendable results he achieved for UAE archery at the West Asian Championship. He affirmed his commitment to continue delivering his best performance in the future, extending his gratitude to everyone who supported him, both personally and as part of the national team.
Tamrouq dedicated this national achievement to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in appreciation of His Highness's continuous support and sponsorship of the sports journey in Sharjah, which has contributed to these major accomplishments.
He also thanked Dibba Al-Hisn Club for providing the ideal sporting environment that helped him reach this high level of performance.
