Sharjah24: Participants from Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club attended on Thursday an awareness workshop, where they received free blood pressure and diabetes screenings in celebration of World Diabetes Day, observed each year on November 14.
Dar Al Kamal Hospital organised the workshop and screenings in collaboration with the Sharjah Representative Office of the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The event saw participation from the club’s CEO, Mr. Ahmed Al Shamsi, public health technician Ms. Farah Bin Ismail, as well as club members, players, and staff.
Mr. Al Shamsi thanked the representative office of the Ministry of Health for their partnership and for offering essential consultations and preventive advice on diabetes, as well as free screenings and gifts from Ibn Sina and PediaSure.
Ms. Farah Bin Ismail underscored the significance of diagnosing diabetes early and the impact of physical activity in lowering its risk factors, stressing Al Hamriyah Club's dedication to promoting awareness on World Diabetes Day.
