Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has received a compliance certificate for the requirements of the "National Business Continuity Management System Standard AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021," issued by the National Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Management Authority. This reflects the council's commitment to national standards and its effective role in achieving the highest levels of quality and preparedness to face crises.
This certificate, awarded to the council on Friday morning, represents a significant achievement, as it is the fourth in a series of accomplishments in the field of quality and compliance with national standards. It enhances the council's position as a leading parliamentary body committed to providing high-quality services to all partners, including members, the public, and employees.
His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Consultative Council, noted that obtaining this certificate embodies the directives of the Executive Council of Sharjah to comply with the highest national standards. He mentioned that the General Secretariat of the Consultative Council worked diligently to implement the National Business Continuity Management System Standard AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2021, with intensive efforts and close monitoring over a record period, through fruitful collaboration among relevant organizational units to ensure comprehensive achievement of the required standards.
Al Jarwan affirmed that the council continues its journey to enhance quality and provide services that meet the aspirations of all partners, thereby reinforcing its position as a parliamentary interface that enjoys the trust of the public and the government.
For his part, Ahmed Al Ali, Director of Strategic Planning and Institutional Development at the council, stated that the implementation of the standard involved comprehensive analyses of the council's operations and risk assessments, in addition to developing business continuity plans that focus on core priorities and necessary resources, along with conducting continuous exercises to verify the effectiveness of those plans. He emphasized that the council's receipt of this certificate reflects its commitment to applying international and national standards in the fields of quality and emergency management, enhancing its ability to deliver services with flexibility and high quality under various circumstances.
Al Ali concluded by highlighting the importance of this certificate in enhancing the SCC's journey toward achieving further accomplishments in quality and compliance, affirming that the council is committed to providing services that align with the aspirations of parliamentarians and meet the public's needs in a sustainable and effective manner.
