Sharjah24: Lazio has retained its top position in the UEFA Europa League standings following a valuable 2-1 victory over Portuguese guest Porto in the fourth round of the group stage.
In the Olympic Stadium in the Italian capital, Rome, Alessio Romagnoli gave Lazio the lead in the fifth minute of stoppage time in the first half. However, Stephen Antonis equalized for Porto in the 66th minute.
Just as everyone was preparing for a 1-1 draw, veteran star Pedro Rodriguez secured the three points for Lazio by scoring the second goal for the hosts in the second minute of stoppage time in the second half.
Lazio's points tally rose to 12, achieving a perfect record so far by winning all four of its matches in the competition, while Porto remained at 4 points in 22nd place.
Manchester United
Meanwhile, English side Manchester United claimed its first victory in the tournament, winning 2-0 against Greek guest PAOK Thessaloniki.
Amad Diallo starred in the match held at Old Trafford, scoring both of Manchester United's goals in the 50th and 77th minutes, respectively.
Manchester United advanced to 15th place in the competition, raising its points total to 6 from one win and three draws, while PAOK remained with just 1 point in 33rd place.

Other matches in the round saw AZ Alkmaar defeat Turkish guest Fenerbahçe 3-1, Ferencváros of Hungary triumph over Ukrainian hosts Dynamo Kyiv 4-0, and Viktoria Plzeň of the Czech Republic beat Spanish guest Real Sociedad 2-1. Hoffenheim of Germany drew 2-2 with French guest Lyon, and Rīgas Futbola Skola from Latvia drew 1-1 with Belgian side Anderlecht.
Galatasaray won 3-2 against English guest Tottenham Hotspur, while Eintracht Frankfurt edged past Czech guest Slavia Prague 1-0. Athletic Bilbao triumphed 2-1 over Bulgarian hosts Ludogorets Razgrad, and Qarabağ Agdam of Azerbaijan defeated Norwegian hosts Bodø/Glimt 2-1. Romanian side Steaua Bucharest won 2-0 against Danish guest Midtjylland, while French side Nice drew 2-2 with the same Danish club.
Belgian side Saint-Gilloise drew 1-1 with Italian team Roma, and Olympiacos of Greece also drew 1-1 with Scottish guest Glasgow Rangers, as did Swedish side Elfsborg with Portuguese guests Sporting Braga.
