The appointments made in October involved 30 different government departments, authorities, and institutions across various cities and regions in the Emirate of Sharjah. These moves are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote Emiratisation and create sustainable job opportunities for citizens.
The beneficiaries of the employment included the Sharjah Private Education Authority, Environment and Protected Areas Authority, Sharjah Economic Development Department, Sharjah International Airport Authority, Sharjah Municipality, Al Hamriyah Municipality, Kalba Municipality, Al Dhaid Municipality, Al Qasimia University, University of Kalba, Sharjah Department of Agricultural and Livestock, Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey, Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, Sharjah Customs, Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties, Sharjah Health Authority, Sharjah Sports Council, Sharjah Finance Department, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Housing, Sharjah Department of Public Works, Sharjah Social Services Department, The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, Sharjah Districts Affairs Department, Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority, Sharjah Awqaf, Sharjah Women's Sports, Department of Culture, and Sharjah Fish Resources Authority.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Human Resources Department, announced that these new appointments align with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The aim is to empower national talent and increase their representation in the labor market. Al Zaabi emphasized that the department collaborates closely with various institutions to foster a supportive work environment for national professionals, which not only enhances their career sustainability and success but also demonstrates the Sharjah government's commitment to boosting Emiratization rates in line with institutional plans and strategies.
According to the geographical distribution of job placements, a total of 134 male and female job seekers were employed in Sharjah city, comprising 81 males and 53 females. In contrast, the Eastern Region saw the hiring of 17 researchers, including 6 males and 11 females. Meanwhile, the Central Region reported 10 appointments, with 9 females and 1 male.
Al Zaabi explained that government agencies are prioritising key specializations that align with the labor market's demands and the emirate's goals of delivering high-quality services. These areas of focus encompass various fields, including education with an emphasis on the fundamentals of religion, Sharia law, and early childhood education. Additionally, there is attention given to document and information management, business administration, finance and accounting, as well as information technology. The engineering disciplines highlighted include electrical, architectural, electromechanical, and sustainable energy, along with interior engineering and design. Moreover, in the health sector, specializations such as nursing, health information, and medical assistance are being pursued, along with interests in environmental and agricultural sciences and graphic design.
Al Zaabi emphasised the Human Resources Department's dedication to fully supporting job seekers through a range of training and qualification programs. He highlighted that the department aims to enhance the skills of citizens via the "Sharjah Program for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers." This initiative encompasses various qualification programs and hands-on training to prepare individuals for successful integration into the labor market. Additionally, he noted that this program boosts the professional competence of national talent and plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development within the emirate. It accomplishes this by equipping skilled individuals who can contribute to improving governmental services and elevating performance quality.
He stresed that these appointments are a testament to the relentless efforts aimed at enhancing the quality of public services in the Emirate of Sharjah. They play a crucial role in boosting the efficiency and productivity of government agencies.
