Sharjah24: Ahmed Hassan Al Qaed, Deputy Director of the Intercity Transport Department at the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, announced that the authority has recently introduced a fleet of environmentally friendly electric buses. Currently, 10 electric buses are in operation on transport lines connecting three cities, reflecting the authority's commitment to utilizing clean energy and providing sustainable, eco-friendly transportation options.
The Commander noted that the efficiency of bus operations on the roads had been evaluated to ensure their safety during extended periods without passengers. The Authority is also dedicated to delivering top-notch specifications that conform to global safety standards, including a battery cooling system tailored to the country’s climate. The new buses are of the "King Long" model, measuring 9 meters in length and capable of accommodating 41 passengers each. They meet international safety standards and have received certification from European safety authorities.

The leader emphasized that this strategy adopted by the Authority represents an effective environmental solution. It aims to lower carbon emissions, cut down on fuel consumption, and reduce maintenance costs, while also minimizing noise levels. He wished all transportation users safety and ongoing success.
