Sharjah 24: Mohammed Salem Al Matroushi, Head of the Field Inspection Division at Kalba Municipality, announced the distribution of nearly 7,000 flags in various areas of the city and all government institutions as part of a field campaign launched by the municipality in preparations for Flag Day and the 53rd National Day.
Kalba Municipality concluded its field campaign to distribute flags to residents and institutions. Its last stop was in the Wadi Al Helo area, in the presence of Khamis Al Mazrouei, Governor of Wadi Al Helo, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, and a number of municipal officials and residents.
Mohammed Salem Al Matroushi, Head of the Field Inspection Division at Kalba Municipality, said that the campaign, which lasted for four consecutive days, distributed nearly 7,000 flags to residents and government departments in the city.
In statements to “Sharjah 24,” he explained that the municipality's annual campaign to replace damaged flags on the facades and roofs of homes and institutions aims to enhance the national spirit and promote the values of loyalty and belonging among all segments of society.
He added that the municipality worked to educate the public through brochures and educational publications on its social media platforms about the flag law and how to use it. In addition, the municipality clarified what the colours of the flag symbolise, which expresses national identity, sovereignty, pride, and loftiness.
