This initiative, aligned with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, embodies our collective humanitarian values aimed at assisting those impacted globally.
Prof. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University, involved in the campaign, conveyed a sense of pride in the university’s contribution to this humanitarian initiative, reflecting the principles imparted by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The assembly of the relief packages, ready for delivery to Lebanon, involved approximately 180 university students and faculty.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, the Executive Director of Sharjah Charity International, expressed gratitude to the university for its substantial voluntary contributions, highlighting the remarkable solidarity shown throughout the UAE. He emphasised that the relief boxes include vital food and medical supplies, put together by students, staff, and volunteers from both Sharjah Charities and supporting organisations.
This campaign represents a significant aspect of the UAE’s broad humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting the Lebanese people and uniting both governmental and civil institutions.
