Sharjah24: In early August, the Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR), alongside the Sharjah Digital Department, launched a Cybersecurity Program as an integral component of the Sharjah Qualification and Training Programme for Job Seekers.
A Cybersecurity Program has been initiated across five locations: Sharjah City, Mleiha, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn. The initiative seeks to provide national talent with the crucial awareness and expertise necessary for effectively managing electronic protection and cybersecurity challenges in the contemporary digital scene.
The program aims to engage job seekers from diverse academic backgrounds by providing education on the various cyber risks related to the use of devices, systems, software, and everyday communication tools. The program aids in recognises these risks, evaluating their effects on work, and equipping individuals with strategies to protect against possible threats. Furthermore, it offers resources, techniques, and insights essential for improving their skills in risk management, focussing on both prevention and impact reduction.
The program focusses on identifying malicious software and managing security risks through practical experience, providing real-world examples from various sectors. This highlights the importance of increasing individual awareness to empower participants in protecting themselves against potential cyber threats.
Significantly, the Cybersecurity Program forms part of the larger "Sharjah Qualification and Training Program for Job Seekers," which is aimed at 1,815 Emirati citizens listed in the Sharjah Human Resources Department’s database. This initiative offers specialised training and practical experience, equipping participants with the skills necessary to join various projects throughout the emirate.
The Department is dedicated to advancing human resources and addressing modern requirements by implementing digital training programs and workshops aimed at improving cybersecurity awareness.
