Sharjah 24: Sharjah Women's Sports Taekwondo champions won 21 coloured medals during their recent participation in the UAE Open Championship for Juniors and Young Girls.
Medals included 7 gold medals for Moza Zuhair, Salma Gharib, Afra Yousef, Al Anoud Sultan Al Hosani, Aisha Radwan, Haya Tamam Al Shawfi, and Aya Wael. 6 silver medals for Sitnai Yanal Qanshaw, Kadi Abdul Aziz Hindi, Alhan Jassim, Rital Al Disawi, Mira Mohammed Al Suwaidi, and Aya Abdullah Al Marzouqi. 8 bronze medals for Hams Ahmed Ibrahim, Rania Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Hamda Yousef Al Wari, Fatima Mohiuddin, Ghala Mohammed Saleh, Mahra Walid Al Shamsi, Nada Omar Hassan, and Reem Khalfan Al Naqbi.
Champions of Al Qaraen Child Centre, affiliated with Sharjah Women's Sports, also won a silver medal for Mira Mohammed, and a bronze for Mahra Al Shamsi.
The championship reflected the club's players’ athletic development, and the participation was beneficial and encouraging for the young players at the club. The championship was also necessary for the technical staff that monitored the level of all the players, taking into consideration the next stage requirements in terms of preparations and readiness before entering the upcoming competitions.
