As per Sandia Abdul Rahman, the Acting Director of the Community Cohesion Department, the main goal of "You Are Our Paradise" is to bring joy to the elderly by delivering them symbolic gifts at their homes on Senior Citizens' Day. Additionally, the initiative includes organizing various events, entertainment programs, trips, activities, and more to ensure the happiness of the elderly.
She mentioned that the project aims to reach out to 2,000 elderly individuals who are benefiting from the department's services across all its branches, including the elderly care home and the elderly services center. This initiative, coordinated by all departments dedicated to serving the elderly, is based on the principle of institutional collaboration to better serve the community and enhance the quality of these services. The department also emphasizes the involvement of private institutions and organizations in the success of its projects to engage the community in various activities and initiatives. Furthermore, the project encourages all institutions to offer support and assistance to this demographic.
