Sharjah 24: As part of the “My Summer is Useful” programme organised by Al Suyoh Council, affiliated with the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Sharjah Police, distinguished activities were held, on Friday, aiming to promote positive values and ideal behaviours among members of society.
Al Suyoh Council continues to provide distinguished summer programmes under the theme “My Summer is Useful”, not limited to entertainment only, but also include educating and developing the skills of children and youth, which contributes to promoting positive values and behaviours in society.
In this context, the council organised an awareness lecture on emergencies presented by Assistant Yusra Al Silari. The lecture was held at the council's headquarters in Sharjah, and witnessed a remarkable attendance of participants in the summer activity.
The lecture addressed vital topics related to how to deal with emergencies, as the council provided valuable information on preventive measures and rapid response in various emergency scenarios.
The lecture focused on strategies for dealing with crises, such as home accidents, suffocation, and sudden injuries, which contributed to raising awareness among attendees of the importance of taking preventive measures and providing first aid in a timely manner.
In addition to the lecture, Corporal Talal Al Balushi from the Community Police managed a group of educational and entertaining competitions that were part of the summer programme’s activities.
These competitions included various activities aimed at reinforcing the concepts covered in the lecture, in a fun and interactive way. The programme also included educational activities that included games and group competitions, which added an entertaining and educational dimension to the summer activities.
The programme reflects the commitment of the council in cooperation with Sharjah Police to promote positive values and safety behaviours in the community, by providing awareness content directed at youth and children during the summer.
This initiative contributes to developing community awareness of the need to be responsible and act appropriately in emergency situations, which enhances the safety of individuals and supports community spirit.
At the end of the event, participants expressed their gratitude for the efforts made by council and the Community Police of Sharjah Police in organising such valuable activities, which contribute to building an aware community equipped to deal with emergency challenges efficiently and professionally.
