Sharjah 24: Amal Abdullah Al Zarouni, an information systems engineer at the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD), announced the launch of the "Mada" platform for geographic data during the department's participation in the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX Global 2024.
The platform aims to unify and share geographic layers among government agencies in Sharjah through a continuously updated central database, thereby streamlining government procedures and enhancing efficiency.
Al Zarouni emphasised in an exclusive statement to "Sharjah 24" that the "Mada" platform will significantly boost the emirate's gross domestic product by streamlining government procedures, allowing transactions to be completed more quickly and efficiently. This acceleration is crucial for attracting foreign investments, making Sharjah a more appealing destination for investors.
Additionally, Al Zarouni noted that the platform fosters cooperation among government agencies and enhances spatial planning and public services, contributing to the sustainability of economic development in Sharjah.
