SEDD organizes Workshop on excellence mark, project devt

The workshop focused on introducing participants to the “Excellence” mark for national leading projects, which is a pioneering mark presented by SEDD to commercial projects in the emirate of Sharjah based on the achievements that are being made. The Excellence Mark aims to encourage small national projects in Sharjah to improve the level of performance, which will positively reflect on the efficiency, productivity and economic performance of the emirate, spread the concepts of commercial excellence in the business community, and encourage creative entrepreneurs to use the best modern economic practices for business sustainability.

The workshop addressed several topics, the most important of which were: the conditions that must be met in the submitted projects, the basic standards and achievement rates, the mechanism for measuring standards and levels of honor, as well as the privileges provided to those who obtain the “Excellence” mark.

In addition, the stages of implementing and activating the National Entrepreneurial Projects Excellence Mark Project included announcing the stage of submitting the participation application during the period from (January to February 2025), the stage of providing all requirements and working on feeding the participation file with all supporting documents during the period (February 2025 to January 2026), and receiving all participating files in (February 2026). After that, the winners will be announced during (the second quarter of 2026).

Commenting on that, Ahmed Saif bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department at SEDD, stated that the Excellence Mark comes within the concerns of motivating and supporting owners of distinguished e-commerce and Eitimad projects to present their competitive files and submit applications for participation, which in turn is an opportunity to enhance knowledge and expertise and highlight best practices in the labor market, that supports raising the level of business and the competitiveness of projects.

Also, Al Suwaidi encouraged participation in the Excellence Mark project, and benefiting from the advantages, incentives and opportunities offered by the project that contribute to development, improving performance and production, in addition to the additional value gained by these projects in the business community.

Moreover, Al Suwaidi clarified that the Excellence Mark project goes in line with SEDD’s mission to achieve comprehensive economic development and improve the competitive business environment by enhancing the contribution of national competencies in the comprehensive development process, leading to a competitive, diversified and sustainable economy that achieves economic well-being for the business community in cooperation with strategic partners.
