Contemporary Media and Artistic Production to serve the Quran

Sharjah 24: The Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah organised the seminar entitled "Towards Contemporary Media and Artistic Production to Serve the Holy Quran", in Sharjah in cooperation with Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, Al Qasimia University, and the Holy Quran Channel from Sharjah.
The seminar participants stressed that contemporary media production to serve the Holy Quran works to consolidate its values, ethics and teachings; and contributes to building a balanced social personality, and employing modern scientific and media technologies to enhance innovative artistic and media production in the service of the Book of Allah.

The participants called for strengthening partnerships with media platforms and social networks, which work to create culture and shape awareness in society; whereas the Holy Quran radio stations contribute to spreading the sublime message of the Holy Quran, and revealing the truth of Islam, its tolerance and moderation, and are keen to spread moral values and tolerance among society members.

The seminar was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy; His Excellency Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcast Authority (SBA); and His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy (ALA). The seminar was presented by participating researchers from Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities and Al Qasimia University, and researchers from the Holy Quran Academy. 

The seminar tackled methods of teaching the Quran in the media, the social impact of using the media to spread the Holy Quran and its sublime message, and serving the Holy Quran in contemporary media. 

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, said that the academy is proud of the fruitful results recommended by the participants in the seminar that brought together an elite group of researchers and experts in the field of the Holy Quran and its sciences, as well as media experts. 
He noted that the research and discussions that were presented revealed developmental and complementary ideas aimed at improving the service of the Holy Quran in the media and employing modern technologies to enhance innovative artistic and media production in the service of the Holy Quran. Al Hosani added that the seminar ideas also aimed to build continuous cooperation between academic and research bodies in the field of the Holy Quran and media institutions, to develop media production, and provide interactive experiences in spreading the sciences of the Holy Quran, in line with developments, and access to Quranic content from anywhere and at any time. 

At the end of the seminar, participants and speakers were honoured, in appreciation of their research and scientific efforts that addressed the challenges associated with the use of modern technologies, preserving the sanctity of the Quranic text, and the promising opportunities provided by modern technologies to serve the Holy Quran.
