Sharjah 24: The national football team began training, on Monday, at the New York University stadium in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for the match against the North Korean national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, next Thursday, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, and then the Uzbekistan national team on Tuesday, October 15, in Uzbekistan.
The technical staff, led by Portuguese coach Paulo Bento, announced the inclusion of Khalid Al Hashemi and Fahad Bader in the team's roster and the exclusion of Khamis Al Mansouri due to injury.
The national team had announced a list of 25 players in preparation for the qualifiers. The national team's mission will leave for Al Ain, on Tuesday, after the conclusion of training in preparation for the match against North Korea.
The national team is participating in the qualifiers in Group A, which includes the teams of North Korea, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, and Iran.
