Attended by Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Emirates Creative Association, the lab explored various initiatives and activities to cultivate a reading culture within the community and reinforce Sharjah's cultural prominence.
Also present were Dr. Faisal Shaheen Al Hammadi, Vice Chairman, Hajar Al Issa, Secretary General, and other board members. Sheikh Khalid emphasised that the lab is part of the association's efforts to develop ideas that support both Sharjah's cultural projects and the "Read, You Are in Sharjah" campaign, with a range of programmes and events to be announced soon.
Dr. Mohammed bin Jarsh, the association's cultural advisor, noted plans for a diverse cultural programme at the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair, featuring events and workshops aimed at raising cultural awareness and promoting reading among various community segments.
This initiative complements other cultural projects by the association, including the Youth Cultural Empowerment Programme and the Professional Diploma in Creative Writing, which aim to enhance young people's skills and foster their participation in cultural life.
