Sharjah24: In the seventh round of La Liga, Real Madrid almost avoided being caught in a trap devised by Deportivo Alavés, winning 3-2 in a thrilling match.
The match, held at the Santiago Bernabéu, saw Real Madrid take an early lead with a goal from Lucas Vázquez just 54 seconds into the game.

French star Kylian Mbappé added the second goal in the 40th minute, bringing his tally to five goals in La Liga this season.

Three minutes into the second half, Brazilian Rodrygo Goes scored Real Madrid's third goal.

However, Deportivo Alavés fought back, reducing the deficit with two quick goals: Carlos Benavidez struck in the 85th minute, followed by Kiki García's goal in the 86th minute.

This victory marked Real Madrid's fourth consecutive win, keeping them in second place with 17 points, ahead of a tough test against Atlético Madrid in the upcoming city derby.

Meanwhile, Alavés remains on 10 points, sitting in eighth place.

Real Madrid also set a record with an unbeaten streak of 39 consecutive matches in La Liga, comprising 29 wins and 10 draws, matching the achievement of their rivals Barcelona in 2018.
