Organised under the supervision of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the EAHS Board of Directors, the championship, hosted by Saif Al Sham Equestrian Club in the Syrian capital, Damascus, will see a selection of the finest Arabian horses in Syria compete for various titles.
The organising committee has completed its preparations for the final championship in Syria, considered one of the natural habitats of purebred Arabian horses. The Syrian desert is the birthplace of many Arabian horse lineages, and Syrian cities have historically been key destinations for explorers and international missions seeking to discover and study purebred Arabian horses.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup was launched in September last year under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It comprises ten championships held in countries across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, South America, and North America, in coordination with the relevant authorities in those countries. Generous monetary prizes are awarded to the top five winners in each championship.
The first championship of the 2024 Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup was held in Australia last February. The second championship took place in Bahrain in March, while the third was held in Scottsdale, USA, also in March. France hosted the fourth championship on 1st June, followed by Denmark hosting the fifth in June. Egypt hosted the sixth championship at the end of June, while Brazil held the seventh in July.
