Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) is participating in the seventh Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF 2024), taking place from September 18 to 19, 2024, at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, organised by the Sharjah FDI Office, "Invest in Sharjah."
The forum will feature discussion sessions and interactive workshops with decision-makers, government officials, executives, investors, and business leaders from around the globe. The department will showcase its services and facilities for investors and participate in various sessions, featuring speakers from both the department and the Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects, "Ruwad."
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, emphasised that this forum, themed "A Futuristic Vision for Smart Economies," serves as a vital platform for economic and investment dialogue. He highlighted the opportunity for direct meetings among investors, government representatives, and specialized institutions, which will drive economic growth in the emirate.
Al Mahmoud also pointed out that the forum explores the use of artificial intelligence to transform traditional sectors into smart systems, supporting sustainable development. Participation in this event enhances knowledge exchange with partners and investors, fostering a robust investment environment in Sharjah. He reiterated the department's commitment to innovation and solutions that boost the local economy's competitiveness.

Sessions titled "Sustainability Drivers" will include contributions from Fatima Al Ali, Director of Project Support and Financing at Ruwad, and Khuloud Al Zarouni, Head of the Youth Council of the Sharjah Economic Department, discussing topics related to industry support, national workforce development, and the integration of artificial intelligence in entrepreneurship.
