Sharjah Ruler witnesses swearing-in of Khorfakkan mun. council

Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended, on Tuesday, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the swearing-in ceremony of the Chairman and members of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, at Sharjah Ruler’s Office.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah congratulated the new Municipal Council members, wishing them success in performing their duties, stressing the need to focus on the needs of the community and citizens in the city and transferring them to the relevant authorities, and following up on matters that fall within the scope of the Municipal Council.
His Highness explained that all the emirate's projects are in the interest of citizens and residents, providing them with a decent life and enhancing their cohesion, belonging and pride in their country and culture.
His Highness pointed out the importance of communicating with all members of the city to learn about the challenges they may face, their suggestions and aspirations to further advance the city, and transfer them to the government agencies according to their jurisdiction, to ensure facilitating the procedures and services provided to the people.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office; Sheikh Khalid bin Essam Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Civil Aviation; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD); and a number of department heads and senior officials.
