Tariq bin Khadem Honours Winners at Paris 2024 Paralympics

Sharjah 24: Dr. Tariq bin Khadim, First Vice President of the World Disability Union and Vice President of the National Paralympic Committee honoured the top three winners in wheelchair fencing at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The ceremony took place at the Grand Palais in the French capital, where the events featured intense competition among the world’s best disabled athletes.
Dr. bin Khadem praised the high level of organizsation of the games, which hosted champions from around the world in various sports. He expressed pride in representing UAE disabled sports at this major global event. He also emphasised the UAE’s significant role in supporting and developing disabled sports globally, noting that the UAE’s presence enhances the country’s status on the international sports stage.

During his visit to the UAE delegation participating in the games, Dr. Tariq expressed confidence in the Emirati athletes' ability to deliver outstanding performances that reflect their strong preparations before the games. He affirmed that this participation is not only an opportunity for competition but also for exchanging experiences with athletes and coaches from advanced countries in the disabled sports.

In closing, Dr. Tariq wished the UAE delegation all the best, expressing hope that the athletes would achieve top positions and stand on the podiums, reflecting the significant efforts made by everyone to elevate the UAE's flag high in international sports arenas.
