He explained that the program is directly overseen by the UAE Genome Council, noting that UAE gives this project significant attention, as it contributes to understanding many genetic diseases and their causes, and to developing necessary treatment and preventive plans.
He pointed out that the program has successfully collected over 650,000 samples since its launch in 2021, which is a substantial number considering the time frame and the population number.
Al-Awadi added that the program's presence at the Government Communication Forum is an effective communication way to reflect the flexibility of official institutions and their commitment to reaching the public, enhancing awareness, and contributing to creating a healthy Emirati community.
