Shams honours the eSports Championship winners

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City (Shams) concluded the Shams eSports Championship at the Shams Business Centre, which was held from August 23-25, 2024, as part of the efforts made by "Shams" to enhance the status of eSports in the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of more than 300 players, amidst an enthusiastic atmosphere that contribute to the emergence of a generation of innovators.
Players Ali Al Hammadi and Muhannad Al Masmari won first place for the FIFA 24 game, and player William Salim won first place for the Tekken 8 game. In the Super Smash Bros., during the third day of the Shams eSports Championship, player Ahmed Al Ashrafi won first place, and in the junior category, player Abdullah Harimel won first place.

Sharjah Media City (Shams) honoured the eighteen winners of the Shams eSports Championship, and distributed cash prizes totaling AED 30,000, divided into AED 10,000 for each day, and awarded to players from first to sixth place in each game. 

The championship received great interaction from eSports enthusiasts across the UAE, and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular. Participants and attendees expressed their admiration for the championship organisation, the presentation of distinguished competitive levels, and called for more championships, as they raise the level of challenge and skills, noting that such championships work to attract local talents to enter the world of eSports.
