The lecture focused on starting with physical and psychological preparation for the school environment, and discussing the challenges that may face the family and solutions to confront these challenges.
The lecture covered several topics, most notably the foundations and rules that help students return to school safely and start the scholastic year according to systematic plans in which the family, student and school participate, including creating an educational environment that motivates success, achieving academic excellence, and promoting sound educational values in the souls of students to raise a generation capable of fulfilling its ambitions.
Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi pointed out that with the start of the new academic year, thousands of students are preparing to return to school, looking forward to an educational journey full of knowledge and new experiences. He added that to ensure a strong start and a fruitful scholastic year, there are a set of foundations that can help students return smoothly and achieve the best academic results in a balanced and organised educational environment.
AHe stressed that setting a specific plan and goals for students is one of the most important factors that contribute to students’ success, whether these goals are short-term, such as improving performance in a specific subject, or long-term, such as achieving a high level of academic success. Defining these goals helps the student focus and work hard to achieve them.
He stressed the importance of organising time for students, as a basic skill to achieve a balance between academic life and daily behaviours or habits, adding that students must allocate a specific time for studying, and another for rest and entertainment, to ensure that they make the most of their day without feeling pressured.
Al Kaabi pointed out that making friendships in the classroom environment plays a major role in the student’s academic life, whereas good friendships are a source of support and motivation for the student, and they enrich group experiences through working in study groups or participating in school activities. He added that balance between education and activities is an essential element in the student's life, as engaging in sports and cultural activities contributes to developing multiple skills and renewing mental energy, and opens up new horizons of knowledge and learning.
He stated that every student will face different challenges and difficulties in their academic career, but the ability to challenge difficulties and overcome obstacles is what makes the difference in the end, and this will only be achieved through the cooperation of the main parties, which are the school, the family and the student.
Al Kaabi added that students need the will and determination to reach their goals and achieve their dreams.
With these tips, Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi calls on students to prepare well and plan properly, to make the academic year a bright beginning for an educational journey full of successes and achievements.
