Al Suwaidi: Intense competition in Shams Esports Championship

Sharjah 24: The Shams Business Centre hosted the Shams Esports Championship today, distributing a total prize pool of AED 30,000 among 18 winners. Alia Al Suwaidi, acting head of the Media Projects Development Department at Sharjah Media City's "Shams," confirmed the event's opening.

The competition, which is being organised in conjunction with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and will be held from August 23rd to the 25th, is set to attract approximately 500 players, according to Sharjah 24.

According to Alia Al Suwaidi, the Shams Esports Championship is one more event in Sharjah's plan to become the premier location for video games and electronic sports.
