To maintain high academic standards, it conducts national and international exams and offers recommendations for legislation aimed at improving public education. The ESE also manages and operates various educational settings, including kindergartens, schools, and institutions, ensuring the delivery of quality education.

The ESE streamlines the registration and enrollment process in public schools, offering efficient services for a seamless experience. To achieve this, it provides the following services:
This service facilitates student registration and enrollment in public schools nationwide, covering all educational stages from kindergarten to 12th grade, based on approved categories. This includes enrolling new students in kindergarten and 1st grade, transferring students from a private school locally or abroad, and enrolling Emarati students from 5th to 8th grade in the Advanced stream (formerly Elite stream).
The Emirates Schools Establishment offers comprehensive continuous education programmes in various streams, including the Home-Schooling Stream for UAE citizens and residents. This allows students from grade 7 to grade 12 to independently study the Ministry of Education curriculum without attending physical classrooms. Students take online exams following the ESE guidelines. This option is available for those who have exceeded the maximum admission age for private and public schools.
The second stream, the General Academic Stream, is tailored for UAE female citizens and spouses of UAE citizens. It offers live online lessons for students from grade 7 to grade 12.
The Literacy Eradication Stream is the third stream, designed to assess the academic level of citizens and residents who lack basic literacy and mathematics skills. It targets students aged nine and above who have exceeded the maximum admission age. The programme covers grades 1 to 6 in two stages, including the primary and the secondary stages. As for assessments in this stream, they are conducted based on the student's age and literacy abilities.
The final stream, the Applied Track, is a vocational programme for male citizens and children of female citizens who wish to complete their studies in the eleventh and twelfth grades "Level Three and Level Four". It is open to those who have exceeded the age limit for general education admission and students transitioning from homeschooling.
This service allows the issuance of a ‘To Whom It May Concern Certificate,’ which provides educational data organised by grade levels and academic years for grades 1 to 12, exclusively for public schools.
This service issues a certificate to verify a student's ongoing enrollment in a public school. The certificate can be printed from the student portal on the ESE website.
This service allows the issuance of a ‘To Whom It May Concern Certificate’ for former public school students, certifying the last grade and academic year they completed before leaving their educational programme.
This service manages the transfer of students between public schools during the current semester or to reserve a seat for the next academic year.
This service provides certificates for learners in continuous education streams, such as home-schooling, general academic, and literacy education, to confirm examination periods for their employers. These certificates can be issued before or during the examination period.
The Emirates Schools Establishment offers attestation services for educational certificates and documents to ensure their accreditation and credibility. This service includes:
This service is designed to update personal information on high school certificates for students who have completed grade 12 in public schools or those who transferred or discontinued their studies. It also provides the option to update and correct data to maintain the accuracy of information on certifications.ِ
This service issues accredited certificates for students in public schools from grade 1 to grade 12, featuring an electronic stamp (scanned) valid within the country. It includes issuing new certificates, replacement certificates, and hard copies of certificates for grade 12, with up to three original copies stamped electronically for use abroad, after attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
