Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Club’s Group Games Department has announced the commencement of the preparation phase for the handball age group teams for the 2024-2025 season. Training resumed on Saturday, August 3.
This follows a meeting of the administrative and technical staff of the Sharjah handball division, led by Jassim Mohammed, a member of the games management and handball supervisor. The meeting was also attended by Badr Hussein, the age group supervisor, Dr. Mohammed Farghali, the new technical supervisor, Ali Al Marzouqi, the men's handball team manager, and all handball team coaches and administrators.
The handball supervisor revealed that this coordination meeting was the first for the new technical and administrative team to welcome the new staff. Sharjah Club has hired a group of distinguished coaches, along with a technical supervisor, a physical trainer, and a goalkeeping coach. During the meeting, technical and administrative roles were assigned across all categories.
The meeting also covered the preparation plan, team requirements, and the new season’s calendar. Competitions for juniors will start on September 27, for cadets on September 29, for kids on October 5, and for youth on October 7. The dates for the junior festivals are yet to be set.
The club boasts the largest base of high-quality handball players in the country and is the main supplier of players for the national age group teams. The club management provides continuous support and care, ensuring all necessary resources for success, which has led to the teams' dominance in all categories of the sport.
