It is worth noting that Al Fardan is a prominent sports leader with extensive experience in Emirati basketball. He has served as Vice President of the UAE Basketball Association from 2012 to 2024.
He was elected to the Executive Office of the Asian Basketball Association for two consecutive terms, from 2019 to 2023 and again from 2023 to 2027, and also served as Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Asian Federation during the same periods.
Internationally, Al Fardan was elected as a member of the Finance Committee of the International Basketball Federation.
