Sharjah24: Education is one of the fundamental rights that fall under human rights, which the United Arab Emirates has ensured through the "Wadeema" Child Rights Law. This law states, "Every child has the right to education, and the state works to ensure equal opportunities for all children according to the prevailing laws." From this principle, the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), through the Children’s Social Care Home, strives to provide all rights to its members, including the right to education by enrolling children in schools, monitoring their academic progress, and overcoming obstacles to achieve the highest levels of benefit.
Every year, the Children’s Social Care Home celebrates the achievements of its members who prove they can achieve their goals. Graduating from school is a significant step in any student's life, especially for the members of the home, as it demonstrates their ability to adapt and excel despite the challenges they have faced.
With the conclusion of the 2023-2024 academic year, two members of the home graduated from high school with a 98% success rate. On this occasion, the home celebrated the success and graduation of the members by inviting staff and all members to participate in the celebration.
Hanan Al Khayal, Director of the Children’s Social Care Home, said, "Every year, we celebrate the achievements of our children who prove to us that they are up to the challenge and responsibility, reflecting their determination and persistence to succeed through their academic accomplishments."
She added, "As a future plan for these graduates, one will join national service, and the other will enroll at the University of Sharjah to continue their educational journey and experience university life. It is impossible to discuss these achievements without praising the efforts of the staff at the home, who dedicate their time and effort to caring for the children by providing psychological, social, and educational support, which contributes to building their personalities and future orientations."
