This week aimed to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability through sports and awareness activities.
A workshop titled "My Sustainable Environment" was presented by Ms. Amani Dirie, in which she emphasized the aim of promoting environmental awareness and teaching members how to preserve and sustain the environment, covering topics such as recycling, waste reduction, conservation of natural resources, awareness of climate change, and the role of trees in oxygen production and carbon dioxide absorption. The event includes sustainability intelligence games "Namaa and Atta'a" aimed at enhancing environmental awareness and a love of sustainability among members, as well as how to adopt sustainable practices in daily life. There were also additional activities in that week including sports activities, traditional games, football, and stationary bicycles, as well as swimming and water games.
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al Matoue, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, pointed out that the event aims to instill the values of sustainability and environmental protection in the hearts of children from a young age, affirming that educating future generations about the importance of sustainability is a crucial step towards a better and more sustainable future.
