University of Khorfakkan launches “Cybersecurity” training course

Sharjah 24: As part of its professional development initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of individuals, institutions, and society, the Skills Motivation Centre at the University of Khorfakkan launched an integrated technical training programme titled "Cybersecurity: Ethical Hacking" on Monday.
Walid Jaber Al Naqbi, Training Programmes Officer at the Skills Motivation Centre stated that the two-week training course aligns with the centre’s goals and strategy to promote sustainable development. It aims to provide students and various community segments with optimal training opportunities to acquire essential skills and experience for development.

He explained to “Sharjah 24” that the training course, supervised by cybersecurity experts, targets students over 18 years old and is offered free of charge for two weeks. The course aims to prepare participants to pass the ethical hacking exam and obtain a certificate accredited by the UAE Cybersecurity Council.

Al Naqbi added that the course covers the fundamentals of cybersecurity, methods to counter hacking, and the principles of ethical hacking. It also aims to enhance participants' skills in identifying vulnerabilities and understanding the legal aspects of hacking.

The Training Programme Officer at the Skills Motivation Centre highlighted that the course focuses on the elements and tools necessary to protect networks, devices, applications, and systems from electronic threats.
