Sharjah24: With the participation of Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA), and representatives from strategic partners, a team from SAA, in coordination with Sharjah Aviation Services, conducted Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal at the airport. This included a field tour on the runway and aircraft apron to ensure their safety and prevent any potential risks during takeoff or landing.
This periodic procedure serves as a proactive mission to build a safe and clean work environment, prevent safety-related accidents, and comply with international and national regulations issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization and the General Civil Aviation Authority. Sharjah Airport employees gather to start removing any solid debris or foreign objects, emphasizing that this action is part of the agenda of tasks carried out by SAA and its strategic partners regularly to enhance awareness in risk management and safety levels in all operational processes.

Sharjah Airport Authority is keen on continuing cooperation and work to enhance aircraft movement safety, operational procedures on the airport grounds and maneuvering area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and achieving them to the highest global standards. This direction involves implementing best practices in occupational health and safety, prioritizing them to contribute to enhancing the airport's status and experience as a model of excellence and effectiveness in aviation safety.
