Sultan bin Ahmed attends Bachelor graduation ceremony at UOS

Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, attended the graduation ceremony for 533 female students who completed their Bachelor's degrees at the University of Sharjah on Thursday morning at the University City Hall.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, then delivered a speech in which he expressed gratitude to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed for honouring him and attending the graduation ceremony, and congratulated the bachelor’s degree graduates and their families. He highlighted that this ceremony is a testament to the University of Sharjah's commitment to producing a new group of female graduates equipped with the knowledge, knowledge and skills necessary for the labour market. He further emphasized that these achievements are a direct result of the support of the wise leadership and their sound guidance, which is dedicated to keeping the University of Sharjah at the forefront of universities at the state, region, and global level.
Al Nuaimi spoke to the graduating class and expressed his unwavering confidence in their abilities and potential. He extended his best wishes for their future success, emphasizing that they are commencing a new chapter today. Al Nuaimi highlighted that some graduates may pursue further education, while others will enter the workforce. He encouraged the graduates to have confidence in the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their time at the university, instilling a sense of hope and assurance in their future endeavours.
At the conclusion of his speech, he emphasized the significance of graduating from the university as a source of immense pride in one's educational journey. He urged the graduates to display pride and gratitude towards the Almighty for their years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifices, which had led to this momentous achievement. He also acknowledged the invaluable contribution and sacrifices made by the parents, whose tears and hearts were filled with joy over this collective success.
Graduate Al Anoud Al Ali gave a speech on behalf of her fellow graduates, reminding them of their dreams since childhood that have come true today. She said: “I stand before you to weave the fabric of the thoughts that we have had since childhood. We wrote down dreams and deposited them with caravans of wishes. We bid farewell to the caravan, but we did not forget the deposit. We went through life crawling, walking and running, and now we have joined the convoy of wishes, and the rows have been organised to receive deposits. Yesterday we sat in the halls and laboratories, and today we are eager to receive the certificates, and hear the congratulations and prayers. Yesterday’s dreams have become a beautiful reality today that we see on our beloved university's graduation and coronation podium.”
She expressed her pride in being a graduate of the University of Sharjah, founded by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. She congratulated Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed on his great efforts to overcome obstacles and encourage and support the students, which contributed to the presence of female graduates today at the ceremony.
Al Ali expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the students throughout their studies, including the faculty, administration, and parents. She referred to them as the guiding light that paved the way and eased the students’ journey. She pledged to continue striving for further accomplishments and contributing to the nation.
In her speech, Al Anoud addressed her graduate sisters, saying: “My graduate sisters, ambassadors of the University of Sharjah, yesterday we were planting the seeds, and now we are reaping the fruits, and each has its own purpose and means. Let our means be sublime, and our purpose stems from the values, morals, and ideals that our true religion urged us to adhere to and our wise leadership directed us to adhere to.”
She concluded her speech by saying: “Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this happy day a reality. Thank you to the wise leadership that provided us with a supportive environment to achieve our ambitions. Thank you to our leaders and inspirations. Thank you to our dear homeland, which we are proud of among the nations. Thank you to every heart that beats to serve this land, the land of the United Arab Emirates, the land of ‘Zayed Al Khair’, and we, the graduates of the University of Sharjah, pledge to you to be its best ambassadors, and to serve this land with all sincerity, love and loyalty.”
Sultan bin Ahmed graciously presented certificates to women who had completed bachelor's degrees in various programs at the colleges of Business Administration, Communication, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Public Policies, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Sciences, Fine Arts and Design, Law, and Engineering. His Highness extended his congratulations to the female graduates and expressed his best wishes for their future endeavours.
