Sharjah24: The Preparation Committee for Recommendations in Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has prepared six recommendations to support the Department of Islamic Affairs (DIA) .
On June 5, 2024, the Preparation Committee for Recommendations in SCC held a meeting at its headquarters in Sharjah. During the meeting, the committee formulated a number of recommendations that will be presented to the council for discussion on the policy of the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah.

The committee formulated six recommendations within the framework of the council's keenness to support the department's work in carrying out its duties in serving the mosques and their care. The committee emphasized the importance of these recommendations, which would complement the department's plans and policies, enabling it to continue its efforts and fulfill its role in activating the role of the mosque and its great mission in society.

The meeting was chaired by Jassim Mohammed Al Hinawi Al Naqbi, the committee's chairman, and attended by committee members Dr. Sultan Khamees Al Zaabi, the committee's rapporteur, Ibrahim Mohammed Al Mansouri, Isa Abdullah Al Kalbani, Obaid Ahmed Khisaw Al Naqbi, Mohammed Ali Bin Salem Al Ketbi, Sultan Ali Al Masaferi, and Majid Al Droushi Al Shamsi, a member of the council and the Public Facilities Committee, as well as Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, the Secretary-General of the Council, Abdulaziz bin Khadem, the Deputy Director of the Parliamentary Affairs Department, and Islam Al Shiwi, the media expert.

During the meeting, the committee formulated several recommendations based on the discussions of the council members in the previous general session dedicated to discussing the policy of the Department of Islamic Affairs, and their review of the recommendations presented by the council members at the end of the council's discussion of the department.

The committee emphasized its commitment to the support and empowerment provided by SCC to the role of the Department of Islamic Affairs, which reflects the wise leadership's interest in spreading Islamic awareness and culture among youth and students and urging them to adhere to Islamic values and ethics.

At the end of the meeting, the Preparation Committee for Recommendations approved the formulation of the recommendations, which address the work, tasks, and responsibilities of the department, and the development of its roles in highlighting the message of Islam, which calls for love, peace, tolerance, cooperation, and brotherhood. These recommendations will be submitted to SCC in its next session as part of its proceedings for the first regular session of the eleventh legislative term.
