Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Junior Handball Team won the Emirates Junior Cup, for the third time in a row and the 17th in its history, by defeating Ittihad Kalba with a score of (32-22), on Friday, at the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club Hall in the Emirate of Sharjah.
With this win, Sharjah succeeded in winning the league and cup double for the third season in a row, after winning the league shield for the ninth time in a row and the 17th in the club’s history as well.
Dawoud Mohammed Al Maleh, member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Handball Federation and Chairman of the Competitions Committee, crowned the Sharjah team with the championship cup and gold medals, and the runner-up Ittihad Kalba team with the silver medals, in the presence of Youssef Ahmed, supervisor of the age stages of handball at the Sharjah Sports Club.
