Sharjah 24: Engineer Jameela Al Fandi Al Shamsi, Member of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Head of the Public Utilities Committee, stated that the members of the Council discussed, on Thursday, the policy of the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, during the eleventh session as part of its work for the first regular session of the eleventh legislative term.
She articulated that the council's discussions centered on the Islamic Affairs Department's endeavours in fostering Islamic identity and culture, religious outreach, and promoting productivity. She emphasised that council members scrutinised these areas of focus, offering insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing the delivery of these services.
Al Shamsi further remarked to “Sharjah 24” that the Emirate of Sharjah stands out as a model in mosque services and that of the department, garnering widespread attention for its exemplary practices. She highlighted the significance of leveraging this experience, particularly with the rising number of worshippers seeking its benefits.
