Sharjah 24: Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, revealed that the 21st edition of the award attracted 260 participants among whom 45 volunteers were honoured in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah; Afaf Al Marri, Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees; and numerous officials and dignitaries.
The Secretary General of the Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work highlighted that the award is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding the significance of volunteerism and its integration into societal values. The award aims to honour volunteers as exemplary role models and active contributors to society. He extended his best wishes for the winners.
