Sharjah24: In line with its ongoing efforts to provide a diverse array of cultural, educational, and entertainment activities for various age groups, Sharjah Ladies Club celebrated its Korean Festival. The event aimed to present a range of activities, workshops, and Korean game, and took place at Kunooz Events & Catering Hall on May 18, Saturday, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The club organized several activities in collaboration with the Korean Club at Ajman University. Highlights included a traditional Korean knots workshop, where participants crafted bookmarks and bracelets. There was also a competition featuring questions about Korean culture, along with performances of K-pop and K-drama. Attendees also enjoyed playing games – which included a chopstick skills test, traditional games like Yunnori and Ddakji, and a lively Zumba session.

Duaa Al Mahri, Director of Corporate Communication at Sharjah Ladies Club, mentioned that the idea behind the Korean Festival was to diversify the activities the club offers to its members and guests. It also aimed to introduce them to a new culture in a way that blends entertainment and education, while also enhancing cultural cooperation between the UAE and Korea, both of which boast distinctive traditions.

She added, "Sharjah Ladies Club has always aimed to present a variety of enjoyable and entertaining events throughout the year, targeting all age groups."

The club's facilities provided a diverse range of services and activities, including a children's entertainment corner from Basateen Preschool Center and Collage Talent Center. This included handicrafts, face painting, soap making, an open studio, nail painting, and puzzle-solving activities. Additionally, fun games were provided by the Sports Complex. Furthermore, Orchid Beauty Boutique provided hair styling, makeup, and Korean-style nail services.

The event also featured booths from Kirakuya for toy sales, K-Secret for Korean beauty products, Cake Bloom for Korean cakes, Kimchi Nom Nom restaurant for Korean cuisine, and The Face Shop for cosmetic products.

The festival received support from sponsors K-Secret and The Face Shop.
