Sharjah Capability Development members reach “Shams” mountain

Sharjah24: The members of the Sharjah Capability Development Institute have successfully climbed to the peak of "Shams" mountain , which is the highest peak in the Sultanate of Oman. This remarkable achievement is part of the "Towards the Peaks" program, specifically designed for adventure enthusiasts to enable them to climb the world's highest mountain peaks.
It is worth mentioning that the participants' journey in the "Towards the Peaks" program was not easy, as it was filled with numerous challenges and difficulties. Hamid Al-Shamsi, one of the program's members, says, "Climbing Shams required a lot of prior preparations due to the rugged mountainous terrain, which was a barrier for me. However, it did not deter me from persevering to reach the peak . I drew my energy from the team, which was filled with positive energy and a spirit of adventure."

Undoubtedly, the experience of climbing Shams has equipped the participants in the program with the necessary skills that will enable them to complete the next stage of the program, which is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in the Republic of Tanzania in Africa. Khaled Al-Nakhi, the director of the Sharjah Capability Development Institute, highlights that the goal of the program is to establish a team of mountaineers representing the Emirate of Sharjah in various local and international arenas.
